Last week I went to furnitex in Melbourne and their sister trade only show Design Made. I met Betul, the owner of Belkiz who is just about to launch the Feedaway, I was instantly drawn to this fun, practical and environmentally friendly highchair, designed to solve the issue of travelling with a toddler. Remember where you saw it first and we will hopefully be giving away some of these hotties to our readers in the coming weeks.
A folding cardboard feeding chair for babies and young children that is new to the children’s market and that has a strong value proposition: It provides a temporary solution for feeding when away from home.
‘Belkiz feedaway’ is a unique, strong and safe, portable and lightweight version of the traditional feeding chair that can be pulled out for use when required and otherwise folded away flat, making her ideal for travelling and visiting where there is no baby/toddler feeding chairs.
Belkiz feedaway was developed using Standards Australia Product Safety Framework handbook, a joint initiative developed by Standards Australia and INPAA (Infant and Nursery Products Association of Australia). As is tested to 50 kilos.
Feedaway is made from recycled Visy cardboard, all cardboard of feedaway can be 100% recycled when no longer used. Feedaway has a non toxic food grade coating to allow food to be spilled and cleaned with a wet cloth. The feedaway chair is 100% Australian made, using 100% Australian materials. Feedaway comes with a two point safety harness that consists out of a safety buckle and safety webbing. The buckle is not Australian made due to availability, however the webbing and buckle are Australian assembled.
Belkiz feedaway comes with a 100% recycled box with a handle that is strong enough to travel by car, train or airplane and can be 100% recycled after usage. Feedaway also fits in a large suitcase.
Set to be on the market in the coming weeks, expected to retail for a very cool $39.95. Stay tuned for stockists.
